Luxury family departures coincide with major school breaks and offer exclusive activities tailored to different age groups, ensuring a memorable experience for all generations in the Galapagos.
During departures with teenagers, the pace of excursions is faster and activities are more physically demanding, including longer hikes, extended kayaking trips, and additional snorkeling opportunities. Families with younger children can enjoy beach tine and water activities. On board the crew organizes a treasure hunt adventure, pajama movie nights, chef-led pizza making party and towel origami. This serves as just some ways we customize each family departure to suit the age groups of our guests.
2026 Special Sailing Dates
We offer family-oriented departures aboard one of our three identical luxury expedition yachts: Origin, Theory, and Evolve. These sailings provide a unique experience tailored to families traveling together. At least one of the three identical expedition yachts is exclusively designated for families, often multi-generational. We recommend checking with us at the time of booking, as certain dates tend to fill up quickly, especially for festive and spring break. Certain weeks are popular with older teens and college-age children and their parents, and grandparents.

Discounts for Children on Galapagos Family Trips
Children aged 17 years and younger at the time of sailing enjoy a 15% discount off the cruise rate. For airfare, children aged 11 and under receive a 30% discount, and the park entrance fee is $100 with proof of age and a copy of the child’s passport showing the date of birth. Please note that children aged 5 and under are not accepted unless the parents or legal guardians sign a hold harmless release. Designated family and family teen departures are available during school breaks. Children aged 4 and under are permitted on private charters only.
