You’ll experience all this and more at Sacha Lodge, set within a 5,000-acre private ecological reserve in Ecuador’s Amazon.

Sacha Lodge is an all-inclusive rainforest sanctuary that is both remote and accessible, offering an authentic Amazon experience without compromising on comfort. A 30-minute flight from Quito is followed by a two-hour motorized canoe journey along the Napo River, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch while surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

Enjoy twice-daily guided excursions through pristine rainforest trails, explore black-water creeks and lakes by dugout canoe, swim in the Lake Pool, fish for piranhas, or search for caimans after dark by flashlight. Experience the 940-foot canopy walkway, suspended 94 feet above the forest floor, climb the 135-foot kapok observation tower for exceptional birdwatching, or soar through the forest on a zip-line. Visit the Butterfly House, home to nearly 40 native butterfly species, the largest collection in Ecuador, and witness hundreds of parrots and macaws gathering at the Yasuní Parrot Clay Lick. The reserve is home to 587 bird species, along with toucans, monkeys, bats, frogs, and countless insects.

Accommodations include 26 duplex guest rooms with high thatched roofs and two double beds, available for single, double, or triple occupancy, as well as three family cabins accommodating 4–5 guests at standard room rates. Lodge facilities include La Balsa, a covered open-air lounge, a restaurant, and a bamboo safari bar.
