Ecuador’s largest city and principal seaport has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. Highlights include the Malecón 2000, a vibrant two-mile waterfront promenade along the Guayas River, the colorful Las Peñas neighborhood, and Santa Ana Hill, where beautifully restored heritage homes line charming cobblestone streets.
All tours are private and depart directly from your hotel. Each excursion includes private transportation, a professional driver, and an English-speaking guide.
PARQUE HISTORICO & LUNCH AT CASA JULIAN (6 HOURS)
For guests staying at Hotel Oro Verde, we recommend a visit to Samborondón, one of Guayaquil’s most exclusive neighborhoods, combined with lunch at Casa Julián. After breakfast at El Patio, enjoy a privately guided tour of Parque Histórico, where Guayaquil’s history, architecture, and native wildlife come together in beautifully restored surroundings. Wander through exhibits showcasing the flora and fauna once found in the region, explore the Historic Zone with its early 20th-century architecture, and discover the traditions of Ecuador’s coastal communities.
A three-course lunch at Casa Julián includes an appetizer, main course, dessert, soft drink, and coffee or tea. Before returning to Hotel Oro Verde in the late afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Daule River.
For guests staying at Hotel del Parque, we recommend spending the day enjoying the hotel’s exceptional surroundings. After breakfast in the peaceful courtyard, explore Parque Histórico at your own pace, located just steps from the hotel. The park combines native wildlife, lush gardens, and beautifully restored historic buildings that celebrate Guayaquil’s architectural and cultural heritage.
In the afternoon, book a cacao or coffee experience through the hotel concierge, unwind with a massage in the restored chapel, or enjoy traditional afternoon tea in the library, served daily from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. End the day with a walk along the Daule River and dinner at Casa Julián, where Chef Santiago Nieto showcases creative cuisine prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

HACIENDA LA DANESA (8 HOURS)
Founded in 1870, Hacienda La Danesa is a historic working dairy and cacao farm located in Ecuador’s coastal Montubio region, near a former railway station. Owned and operated by the third-generation Olsen family, the hacienda offers a warm introduction to its rich history and rural traditions.
Choose from a variety of authentic farm experiences, including horseback riding (additional charge), cycling, cow milking, and artisan chocolate making. Following a three-course lunch, enjoy time to relax or explore the lush grounds, home to teak trees, organic gardens, farm animals, and thriving cacao plantations.
Return to Guayaquil in the late afternoon. Transportation is provided in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes each way.
BODEGA DOS HEMISFERIOS (8 HOURS)
Discover the vineyards of Bodega Dos Hemisferios on a guided tour exploring the history of the estate and the complete winemaking process, from vine to bottle. Learn about the unique challenges and innovations involved in producing award-winning wines in Ecuador’s tropical climate.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the winery’s enologists with a glass of rosé. During the visit, discover the estate’s 12 grape varieties before enjoying a guided wine tasting.
The experience concludes with a three-course lunch and Premium or Ultra wine pairing at Gran Samán Restaurant, featuring selections from the winery’s acclaimed labels, including Del Morro, Enigma, Almirante, Travesía, and Armonía.

Transportation to the hacienda or winery is provided in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes each way through scenic countryside.
Vehicle assignments are as follows:
1 guest: SUV
2–3 guests: H1
4–7 guests: Sprinter Van
8–15 guests: Crafter
16 or more guests: Bus
Terms & Conditions for Classic Tours
Payment: Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to departure are subject to a USD 50 service fee per person. Cancellations made 59 days or less prior to departure are non-refundable.
Flight Delays and No-Shows: No refunds will be provided for no-show airport transfers resulting from flight cancellations or delays. If a flight delay is reported less than five hours before the scheduled arrival or departure time (ETA/ETD), the full transfer charge will apply. The service may be rescheduled for an additional fee. If the delay is reported more than five hours in advance, the transfer will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Force Majeure: Itineraries may be modified due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to airline delays or cancellations, adverse weather conditions, hotel closures or overbookings, government regulations, strikes, landslides, road conditions, or attractions becoming unavailable without prior notice. In such cases, comparable alternative arrangements will be provided whenever possible. Should any of these circumstances arise during the tour, we reserve the right to adjust the itinerary accordingly. No refunds will be issued for any unused services resulting from changes or cancellations made by the guest during the trip or within 59 days of the scheduled service date.
