At Ecoventura, sustainability is more than a value—it’s a practice we honor every day, and especially on World Oceans Day. On June 8, 2025, we joined the global community in celebrating this important date, reaffirming our dedication to marine conservation alongside Relais & Châteaux and Ethic Ocean. This year’s theme, “WONDER: Sustaining What Sustains Us,” served as a powerful reminder of the ocean’s generosity—and our responsibility to protect it.
Dining with Purpose: A Celebration Beyond the Plate
In support of Relais & Châteaux’s campaign, Ecoventura hosted a series of plant-based culinary experiences across our fleet as part of the celebration. These dinners were not just meals, but intentional moments designed to foster awareness about sustainable food choices and to highlight the impact of seafood consumption on marine biodiversity.
As part of our ongoing commitment to culinary excellence, our team was happy to accommodate vegetarian guests, and with advance notice, we also crafted fully vegan options—ensuring that all travelers could enjoy a meal aligned with their values.
On Board THEORY – June 3
Guests aboard Theory were invited to enjoy a special four-course vegan dinner led by our onboard chef. The curated menu served as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of responsible seafood consumption and showcased the creativity of plant-based cuisine. Each dish told a story, emphasizing flavor, texture, and sustainability without compromising the dining experience.

On Board ORIGIN, THEORY & EVOLVE – June 8
On the official World Oceans Day, guests across all three of our yachts—Origin, Theory, and Evolve were presented with the choice to opt for a vegetarian menu, carefully crafted to mirror our ongoing commitment to protecting marine ecosystems. Each meal was introduced with an inspirational message to deepen guests’ understanding of the event’s purpose and values. These messages—shared with both crew and travelers—served as powerful storytelling moments, adding meaning and depth to the celebration.
In line with our wellness philosophy, these mindful dining experiences are part of a broader approach that connects cuisine, consciousness, and conservation. If you’re interested in a voyage that nurtures both your values and your wellbeing, we invite you to explore our wellness-inspired departures, where daily vegetarian menu options are thoughtfully combined with moments of mindfulness and renewal.
Why It Matters: Our Menus, Our Message
Through our partnership with Relais & Châteaux, Ecoventura proudly upholds a commitment to sustainable sourcing, biodiversity protection, and community engagement. By choosing not to serve endangered seafood species—and by offering plant-based alternatives—we aim to influence the broader food ecosystem, encouraging both suppliers and travelers to rethink their consumption habits
Last year, this collective effort resulted in measurable change: 34% of Relais & Châteaux members removed eel from their menus, while another 50% declared they had never served it. This kind of action proves that when luxury hospitality embraces conservation, it has the power to create real impact.

Storytelling at Sea
For Ecoventura, initiatives like World Oceans Day are more than symbolic—they are part of our immersive, story-driven approach to conservation tourism. From the food on your plate to the message behind it, everything is designed to educate, inspire, and engage. And when guests return home, they bring these stories—and the lessons within them—with them.
